One of the eight wonders of the world .

 


Sigirya is an ancient rock fortress situated in the central region of sri lanka. Sigirya was built by king Kashyapa in the 5th century . The rock is located 200 meters above te ground . Sigirya is a popular place due to  murals. The place was declared a UNESCO world heritage site by UNESCO in 1982. Today ,the place is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.

Vesak is marked on the full moon day in May🌕.Many people keep sill on this day.Beautiful lanterns ,known as vesak kudu are put up. Dansal,where people share food and drinks, is also set up. This vesak festival brings peace,happiness and harmony to people in sri lanka and arround the world 🙏🌕❤️.
