Sinhala and Tamil new year is a significant festival in sri lanka. It is a festival observed by both sinhalese and tamils in sri lanka in the month of April❤️.There is a special time called the "nonagathe" where people leave all work and spend time happily  with their families 💖👨‍👨‍👧‍👦.Some go to the temple .Here, people prepared traditional foods like milk rice, sweets and played the traditional games.Elderly bless and give gifts to young people .The festival of sinhala and tamil new year promotes harmony, cultural values and to getherness in sri lanka.❤️🙏
